In order to make emergency medical care available more quickly during rescue operations, becon is developing a prototype with which the emergency doctor is already involved during the journey, as he is in contact with the rescue forces on site via an audio connection and experiences the events live in VR. For this purpose, the view of the paramedics is recorded by head-mounted cameras, transmitted live and displayed in an interactive 3D world.

With the mobile ward round, the nursing staff of a hospital has the possibility to get in contact with a specialist during ward rounds. The audio-visual connection is via an app on the mobile phone, keeping both sides completely mobile during use. The specialist can use VR glasses to experience the ward round from the perspective of the nursing staff. The images are captured by a camera attached to the caregiver’s head, whose images, like the audio, are transmitted in real time via the app. If required, the application can be extended with medical devices.
