A new minor release 4.4 is now available for download.
In this version, the focus is on the introduction of our new subscription model, which enables even more flexible use of our platform. Details on the new model can be found in our latest press release.
Although this release primarily supports the new model, we are introducing an important new feature with Extra-Ops as well as several bug fixes.
More flexibility and control: expand your monthly license volume with Extra-Ops
Extra-Ops was developed as part of the new subscription model to enable OpenCelium systems to be activated flexibly even when demand temporarily increases.
With Extra-Ops, we are introducing an extended option for adjusting your API license volume. This feature allows you to expand the regular volume of API operations as needed without changing your main license.
What is Extra-Ops?
Extra-Ops provides additional API operations for a defined period (month and year).
This function is particularly helpful in temporary usage scenarios, e.g. for consulting assignments, without using up the standard license volume.
Extra-Ops is currently not directly available for purchase, but is provided individually via OpenCelium Support. In future, it will also be possible to purchase it directly via the service portal.
How Extra-Ops works – simple & safe
Extra-Ops is provided as an encrypted file. This file contains:
The number of additionally enabled API operations
The period (month & year) for which the extension applies
The file can be uploaded using the license management function in the OpenCelium system. The system automatically checks the file and activates the additional API operations if validation is successful.
What are the advantages of the new feature?
Maximum flexibility:
Extend your API operation limit flexibly – without upgrading your subscription.
Optimized use of resources
Use extra ops for special use cases, e.g. consultant assignments, without burdening the regular license volume. This keeps your license intensity efficient and concentrates on your actual core requirements.
Easy to use:
The request via OpenCelium Support is uncomplicated and targeted – a fast and needs-based solution for temporary extensions.
Follow the instructions in the documentation to perform the update.
