The decision-making process for OpenCelium

“The implementation of an API Gateway can successfully solve a variety of challenges related to the management, security, scalability and performance of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). We at DLR were able to achieve positive results by integrating the OpenCelium API gateway. I would particularly like to emphasize the benefits for the efficient management and scaling of interfaces through the centralized approach as well as the improved performance thanks to standardized interfaces.”

Overcoming application boundaries with the API Management Hub OpenCelium

One challenge in the programmatic mapping of IT or business processes is overcoming application boundaries. At some point, the functional spectrum of an application comes to an end and you have to pass the data baton to another application so that the process can continue undisturbed without any manual intermediate steps. Companies must ensure that all applications and systems work together flawlessly in ongoing data center operations and possibly in a connected cloud and can be easily adapted to changes and new requirements.

Connecting API-enabled applications with OpenCelium was our solution to the challenges of communication between applications. The connection of different tools always comes into play when they need to communicate with each other and exchange data. Whether connecting a service desk such as OTRS, a monitoring system such as PRTG or collaboration tools such as Trello. The connection of various tools is particularly useful for a CMDB in order to prevent duplicate data maintenance, relieve the burden on existing personnel resources and achieve a high degree of automation.

We would like to invite you to our OpenCelium workshop on September 12, 2024 in Fulda. Learn how to use API requests effectively and configure interfaces efficiently with OpenCelium.
